New Treatment Research: YOUR HELP NEEDED!

Hi everyone:)

Hope you all had a restful Christmas break? Now mine is over, I'm thinking about 2021 (it had better be a better year!) and potentially bringing in some new treatments. One new machine has caught my eye which gives amazing results. I'd love to hear your views. Please read this email (and if possible watch the video). WHAT IS IT?

A) ENLIGHTEN TOOTH WHITENING

I'm a personal fan of this treatment. So many of my patients feel much happier after they have whitened their teeth using this home whitening system. Don’t underestimate the changes a brighter smile could bring into your life. Smile with confidence! Custom made premium whitening trays are your guarantee to a B1 dazzling smile.⁣⁣⁣⁣ B1 is the lightest natural tooth colour, however teeth can go whiter. It’s important that a full check up is done prior to using this system to ensure your a good candidate and that there aren’t any underlying dental issues.

Costs start at £495

B) COMPOSITE BONDING (white fillings)

Composite bonding is a modern way to restore teeth, either for cosmetic reasons, or to build up tooth structure that has been lost. It involves bonding a tooth coloured resin material to existing teeth to reshape them or improve their colour. I can bond on very strongly the resin material, polish it up, and this will last for many years. Composite bonding is appropriate for pretty much every patient. Any little imperfection can be improved with composite bonding. Small edges or badly broken down teeth can be built up again with this very conservative treatment. These composite bondings can also be used to replace old metal fillings in your mouth which is very popular with my patients.

Costs start at £250/tooth

C) CROWNS AND VENEERS

Veneers and crowns are both dental restoration methods that can improve the look and function of your teeth. The main difference is that a veneer covers only the front of your tooth and a crown covers the entire tooth. I use Emax all-ceramic restorations to offer a cosmetic solution to the front of your mouth and Zirconia ceramic restorations to replace old crowns or heavily restored teeth at the back of your mouth. Generally these treatments need 2/3 appointments and a visit to the laboratory for shade taking. ( picture below shows two central crowns)

My 5 Top Tips For Younger, Hydrated Looking Hands!

Today I'm going to share with you some tips about how to make your hands look and feel and look better, younger and more hydrated. I will share with you what I find works for me using some of the products here at The Medished. As many of you will already be using some of these products on your face there may not be a need to purchase extra but to use what you already have in your bathroom cabinet.

TOP TIP NUMBER ONE - MECHANICAL EXFOLIATION

Its really important to regularly exfoliate our hands in the same way we do our faces. I love a quick gentle scrub with ZO Skin Health Exfoliating Polish at least 3/5 times a week. TOP TIP NUMBER 3 - HYDRATION

Every night before bed and especially on the days I've exfoliated I pop on some of my Obagi hydrate or hydrate lux on my hands. Since I've been actively doing this I've found that my hands are really soft in the morning as the moisture has been locked into my skin overnight. So just don't forget to moisturise your hands before bed.

TOP TIP NUMBER 4 - SPF

I'm always talking about importance of wearing SPF on your face all year round. Daily SPF prevents UV damage, collagen degradation, skin cancers and age spots so wearing it on your hands to prevent ageing is really important! When applying your SPF in the morning don't forget to cover your hands too!
